The Squealing Pig is a great local bar with a large selection of beers and a tasty menu including your not so typical bar foods. Try the toasties they're great. The place is generally melloww most nights of the week and can get a little wild on the weekends, which can start as early a Wednesday. Decent music too. Come by and check it out. It's worth it.
